Indiana Preschool Study

The Evaluation and Training Institute (ETI), a non-profit educational research organization, has been hired to do an evaluation study of a home-based computer school readiness program available to Indiana families. Our evaluation study was approved by the state of Indiana and results will measure children’s literacy and math skills.

ETI is currently looking for 4- and 5-year-old children to participate in our study. We are recruiting families who have a child that will enter kindergarten in 2019.

If your family is selected to participate in the study:

  • You will receive a $40 gift card each time your child completes the test to thank you for your participation (up to two times, for a possible total of $80).

  • Your child will be given two 30-minute tests nine months apart measuring early literacy and math skills (e.g., basic letters, shapes, numbers),  and you will be asked to complete a survey.

  • Testing will be offered in a location in your community and you can enter the testing room with your child to observe the entire session.

  • Test scores will be used for research purposes only and your personal information will not be shared with anyone.

This study will help Indiana understand how well students are prepared for school and will help state officials make better decisions about resource allocation. We greatly appreciate your participation!
