Areas of Focus
  • Education. We have helped schools, districts and non-profits in understanding and improving all aspects of their educational programs, from reform and accountability to school governance, parent involvement, family and youth literacy, professional development, after-school, arts education and technology.
  • Health and Social Services The success of any health-related or social service program requires evaluation in order to meet the pressing needs of the communities served. ETI has worked collaboratively with nonprofit, philanthropic, and community-based organizations to evaluate programs dedicated to improving the health and social service capacity of their local communities through early intervention, outreach and education, and community building. Our evaluations have strengthened programs in the following areas: transitional living for foster youth, community-based asthma services for children and families, early identification of special needs, health care services to ready children for school, and school-based health programs, among others.
  • Vocational Education and Workforce Development. We have been involved in every vocational education effort implemented in the last 30 years, including CETA, CWETA, JTPA, SJTCC, and WIA. These programs included Articulation and Two Plus Two Programs, Tech-Prep, School-to-Career and programs funded under the Workforce Investment Act.
  • Drug and Alcohol and Gang Prevention. Our evaluation projects included the city-wide LA Bridges Gang Prevention Program, DARE, and other social service programs.
